Report: Marvin Jones avoids ACL injury, is day-to-day
The Detroit Lions, already short on quality at the wide receiver position, got some good news on Marvin Jones on Monday.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Jones avoided a major ACL and PCL injury during Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears, but did endure a bone bruise. For the moment, his status is day-to-day.
Tests showed that Lions’ WR Marvin Jones’ ACL and MCL are intact, but he did sustain a bone bruise and will be considered day to day, per source.

The 28-year-old receiver has 35 catches for 508 yards this season, with five of those receptions going for touchdowns.
Jones was injured Sunday, though he tried to talk his way back into the game. Ultimately, this isn’t anywhere near as serious as it could be, and it doesn’t sound like he’ll miss much time, if any at all.
