Marvin Lewis calls Johnny Manziel a ‘midget’ (Audio)

Johnny-Manziel

If Johnny Manziel ends up starting for the Cleveland Browns against Cincinnati next weekend, Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis has provided the rookie with all the bulletin board material he should need.

During his weekly appearance on WLW-AM in Cincinnati, Lewis was asked if Cleveland’s uncertain quarterback situation will impact his team’s preparation in any way this week.

“No it doesn’t,” Lewis said. “It doesn’t at all. You’ll get a little bit more movement if Manziel is the quarterback like they did against Buffalo, but other than that it doesn’t impact you at all.

“You have to go defend the offense. You don’t defend the player — particularly a midget.”

Shots fired! Here’s the audio:

We already know Manziel, who is 6 feet tall, has a chip on his shoulder. If our lip reading is correct, Johnny Football thought he could have played much better than Brian Hoyer against the Indianapolis Colts.

According to one report, the Browns have all but decided that Manziel will start against the Bengals. We can’t wait to see if he has some sort of response for Lewis.
