Matt Leinart stars in basketball game at famous Drew League
Matt Leinart is a multi-talented athlete who is apparently pretty good at basketball, in case you didn’t know.
Leinart appeared in a Drew League basketball game Saturday and came off the bench to lead his team to victory. He had 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for APNG in a 76-71 win over Jug Life, according to a Drew League tweet.
Here he is in action:
Leinart even drew praise from former NBA player Olden Polynice:
@MattLeinartQB @DrewLeague Pleasure meeting you Matt and your son. You were the Player of the game. #DoubleThreat

Nike sponsors the Drew League, which is a highly competitive pro-am league in Los Angeles. It’s possible they got Leinart into the game. Or maybe Leinart’s game is just sharp from playing ball with Luke Walton:
Leinart played baseball in addition to football growing up, and he recently said he considered himself a baseball player entering high school. Clearly he’s talented and good at multiple sports.
And what a day for 2006 NFL top 10 picks! Leinart playing in a basketball summer league, and Vince Young pretty much saying he’s retired. At least Reggie Bush and Mario Williams are still making it happen.
