Matt Ryan showed off his veteran smarts when he pulled a Deion Sanders and thought better of giving up his body to block a massive defender on Monday night.
Late in the Saints-Falcons game, Atlanta was trying to run out the clock and gave the ball to Devonta Freeman. Freeman ran to the right but then reversed course and headed left, which gave Ryan an opportunity to throw a block. The QB acted at first like he was about to do it, but as soon as he saw 320 pounds of potential danger coming his way, he went down like a grenade was about to go off:
