Micah Parsons sends a warning to Dak Prescott ahead of their game

Micah Parsons is officially putting his former teammate on notice.

The Green Bay Packers defensive star Parsons spoke this week in an interview with the Associated Press. The interview came ahead of Parsons’ return to Dallas in Week 4 to face the Cowboys as an opponent for the first time (during a game that will take place on “Sunday Night Football”).

At one point, Parsons was asked about the opportunity to potentially sack Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott during the game. Parsons replied with a warning for his longtime teammate.

“It’s going to be painful,” Parsons said.

“That’s my guy [though],” added Parsons. “He was always like a good mentor for me. But you know how it is. He always told me if I ever faced him that it’ll be a great matchup, so I’m excited to see what Sunday brings itself.”

The four-time Pro Bowler Parsons was drafted by the Cowboys in 2021 and spent the first four seasons of his career with them. He was teammates with Prescott all throughout that span but will be getting his very first chance to rush at Prescott on Sunday now that he has been traded to the Packers.

Over his first three games with Green Bay, the 26-year-old Parsons has already produced 1.5 sacks, five combined tackles, and six total QB hits (with the Packers going 2-1 over that span). While it will be all love (with a touch of friendly competition) between Parsons and Prescott on Sunday, the same might not be true for Parsons with other leading Cowboys figures.
