Michael Thomas trashes Saints on social media
Wide receiver Michael Thomas certainly seems determined to burn his bridges with the New Orleans Saints.
In a series of posts on X Sunday, Thomas blamed the Saints and quarterback Derek Carr for his poor 2023 season, suggesting he was being “set up by a bad ball” and that the team did not try to involve him in the offense.
Replying to a fan who felt Thomas could still put up elite numbers when healthy, the wide receiver blamed Carr for his troubles, arguing that he could have put up 1,000 yards with a better quarterback.
well if I didn’t get set up by a bad ball I probably would’ve had a light little 1k yards this year but could of should of I know I get it lol

Thomas was not done there. The fan responded by saying a change of scenery would benefit Thomas. Thomas did not necessarily disagree, adding that the team “wasn’t even trying to get me the ball.”
on top of that they wasn’t even trying to get me the ball but it’s no denying my style of play it dont age playa you will see.

Those comments probably will not go down well with the Saints, who have stuck by Thomas through three injury-hit seasons. During that period, there were reports that Thomas went rogue while rehabbing from ankle surgery, and he has been publicly critical of the organization over their handling of that injury.
Thomas won Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2019, but injuries and the retirement of Drew Brees seemingly took their toll after that. He was limited to ten games in 2023, catching just 39 passes for 448 yards and a touchdown.
Both sides are probably better off going their separate ways at this point.
