Report: ‘Multiple teams’ to inquire about Sean Payton after season
A new report says that multiple teams will look into trading for Saints head coach Sean Payton after the NFL season ends.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted that the Miami Dolphins, among others, will look into Payton’s availability during the offseason.

It’s logical that a lot of teams would be interested in Payton. He’s a Super Bowl winning head coach. That said, it’s an open question as to whether the Saints would be willing to part with him for any price, whether he’d be willing to part with the Saints, and whether any team would be willing to meet whatever the asking price would be.
The Dolphins are an obvious and logical option, with no permanent coach at the moment. The Colts may also be interested, given the doubts surrounding Chuck Pagano’s future. Either way, were Payton available, he would likely have the ear of every team in the market for a new coach.
