The Arizona Cardinals are 1-1 with Mike LaFleur as the head coach, but some NFL executives wonder if superstar wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. could be on the move.
Through two games, Harrison has just 1 catch for 33 yards on 4 targets, and he went without a single catch in the 31-7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2. That has led some NFL executives to ponder the possibility of a trade.
“Execs around the league are wondering whether the Arizona Cardinals could explore trading 2024 No. 4 pick Marvin Harrison Jr. ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline,” Dan Graziano wrote in the latest ESPN intel.
The Cardinals just gave fellow WR Michael Wilson a three-year, $75 million deal this offseason. LaFleur came in with a brand-new coaching staff, and simply put, Harrison’s production through his first two years hasn’t shown that he is worth a massive extension once he is eligible.
Harrison, who was the 4th overall pick in 2024, had 62 catches for 885 yards and 8 scores as a rookie. In 2025, he took a step back, catching 41 passes for 608 yards and 4 scores, although he played only 12 games due to injuries.
Arizona invested in the offense by selecting running back Jeremiyah Love at No. 3 overall in the most recent draft, and at some point, the Cardinals have to find a long-term solution at QB.
With all that being said, Harrison might be the odd man out in the young Arizona locker room, especially if he doesn’t produce as many expected.
