Odell Beckham Jr. was carted off the field during Sunday’s loss to the Los Angeles Chargers after he suffered a gruesome looking ankle injury, and he reportedly needed to undergo surgery immediately.
According to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan, Beckham was heading to go under the knife not long after he suffered the injury.

The injury must be serious, which is not a huge surprise given the way Beckham’s ankle bent awkwardly underneath him. The star wide receiver was in obvious pain and had tears coming down his face as he left the field.
Beckham had five catches for 97 yards and a touchdown before leaving the game. His injury came after the Giants had already lost receivers Brandon Marshall and Sterling Shepard to ankle injuries and Dwayne Harris to a fractured foot.
