Caldwell would count as an experienced choice for the Packers. He has seven years of experience as an NFL head coach, reaching the playoffs in four of those years with a 62-50 overall record. His name popping up isn’t a huge surprise, as reports have indicated that he’s eager to get back into the business.
While at least one Packers player wants the interim coach to stick around, Caldwell will likely be the first of many to speak with Green Bay in what promises to be a comprehensive search for Mike McCarthy’s successor.
