Patrick Mahomes has already dealt with several injuries this season, but fortunately it does not sound like the latest is anything serious for the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback.
Mahomes suffered a hand injury that appeared to cause him some discomfort during Sunday’s win over the New England Patriots, but Chiefs coach Andy Reid told reporters on Monday that X-rays came back negative. Mahomes is dealing with a bruise but is expected to be fine.
"Patrick [Mahomes'] hand is OK. It's bruised up pretty good but there's no break."

Mahomes appeared to jam his hand early in the game when he was hit by a Patriots defender, and he was shown flexing it uncomfortably at various points after that. Some of his throws fluttered a bit and may have lacked velocity, but it did not seem like the injury made that big of an impact.
Between the hand injury, a few minor ankle tweaks, and the nasty dislocated knee he suffered, Mahomes has had to play through a lot of pain this season. The important thing is he won’t have to miss any time with the latest ailment.
