Mike Vrabel somehow kept his composure after one reporter asked him a downright silly question.
The New England Patriots head coach spoke to the media Monday to kick off Super Bowl week in San Francisco, Calif. During the virtual press conference, Vrabel was inexplicably asked if the Patriots’ Super Bowl clash against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday is considered a “must-win game.”
Reporter: “Is this a must-win game?”
Vrabel: “A must-win? I think every time we go out is a must-win game. It’s kind of the attitude I’ve always taken in the National Football League.”

Some Patriots fans out there would probably pay a few bucks to know what Vrabel’s thoughts were in that moment. Vrabel has a reputation for being straightforward during press conferences.
The odds-on favorite to win the Coach of the Year Award surprisingly gave a diplomatic answer, calling every game a “must-win” contest when he takes the field, whether he’s wearing a helmet or a headset. But in the back of his mind, he was probably just as confused as the rest of us when he heard the question.
The reporter must have been a prankster or Jimmy Kimmel’s comedian sidekick, Guillermo, disguising his voice. It’s the only explanation for a credentialed reporter asking such an inane question ahead of the NFL’s biggest game of the year.
If there’s any must-win game to ever exist in the sport of football, it’s the Super Bowl.
