Patriots sign veteran TE Lance Kendricks
The New England Patriots are still searching for tight end help in the wake of Rob Gronkowski’s retirement, and they are bringing another player into training camp to boost their depth at the position.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the Patriots have agreed to a deal with Lance Kendricks.
The #Patriots are adding some tight end help before training camp, signing TE Lance Kendricks, source said. He had 19 catches for the #Packers last year and will assist in filling the Rob Gronkowski void.

Kendricks, 31, played in all 16 games for the Green Bay Packers in each of the past two seasons. He caught 19 passes last year and has 19 career touchdowns. While it is highly unlikely he will make a significant impact in the passing game, he could be a decent red zone target for Tom Brady if he makes the final roster.
