Buffalo Bills wide receiver Percy Harvin has been battling a hip injury and did not make the trip to London for this weekend’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. According to one report, he may never join the team again.
Vic Carucci of The Buffalo News cites sources who claim Harvin is contemplating retirement because of his injury.

That report came on the heels of some cryptic comments from Bills coach Rex Ryan, who indicated that Harvin is dealing with something beyond just an injury.
Rex with a very odd comment on Percy Harvin, after saying he won't expand on the situation: "I don't know where he is right now."

True that Ryan could mean where Harvin is in recovery…but he said this absence is not hip related. It's "personal."

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Harvin has grown “increasingly frustrated” with hip and knee injuries that could sideline him indefinitely but is not thinking about retirement.
Harvin has battled injuries since training camp and has not been able to produce at a high level. He’s still only 27, so you would think he would have plenty of time to sit out and return to full health if he wanted to.
Harvin’s career has ultimately been a disappointment since he was traded from the Minnesota Vikings. The issues he had with his Seattle Seahawks teammates have been well documented, and Harvin expressed a desire to become known as a true wide receiver with the Bills and not a gimmick player. It would be pretty shocking if he called it a career.
