Pete Carroll says Colin Kaepernick has reached out to Seahawks
Colin Kaepernick is serious about trying to return to the NFL, at least according to Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Caroll.
Carroll said Wednesday that Kaepernick reached out to the Seahawks about possibly playing for the team. The Seahawks coach added that Kaepernick deserves another chance in the NFL, but did not commit to giving him an opportunity to make the team.
Pete Carroll said Colin Kaepernick reached out to him this week. Said he doesn't yet know if if that means he'll end up getting a shot in Seattle or elsewhere.

Kaepernick has been sharing workout video lately amid rumors of a possible comeback. That chatter was met by understandable skepticism, but Carroll seems to be verifying it here.
The Seahawks’ quarterback situation is unclear, though they did get Drew Lock back in the Russell Wilson trade. The ultimate resolution may depend on how the Deshaun Watson situation resolves itself. Either way, it’s hard to envision the Seahawks — or any other team — entrusting the quarterback role to a 34-year-old who has not played in the league since 2016.
