Colin Kaepernick apparently still wants to play in the NFL, even though he hasn’t suited up since 2016.
Kaepernick posted a video on Twitter Thursday showing himself working out at quarterback, along with the caption “still working.” ESPN’s Adam Schefter went on to retweet the video and share that Kaepernick is in great shape and is ready and eager to play again.
Colin Kaepernick is still working out and is said to be, in the words of one source, “in the best shape of his life. He wants to play. He’s ready play. He would be a great fit for teams with QB vacancies to fill who want to win a Super Bowl.” https://t.co/VAXfKlZ6E4

Kaepernick is now 34 years old and has not played in an NFL game in roughly five years. Unless he wants to be a backup, which is unlikely, he might not have a clear route back into the league. Teams would be taking a huge risk giving him the keys to their offense after such a lengthy absence.
We have heard very little about interest in Kaepernick since he seemingly had some revived interest back in 2020 that turned out to be nothing. It remains to be seen if things will be any different now.
