Pete Carroll ‘disappointed’ with Earl Thomas’ absence
Pete Carroll is disappointed by Earl Thomas’ absence from the first practice of minicamp.
The Seattle Seahawks head coach spoke to NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero on Tuesday and said he was “disappointed” that the safety was not present.
I spoke to Pete Carroll before #Seahawks’ first minicamp practice. On Earl Thomas, Carroll said: “I’m just disappointed that he’s not here and all that. But we’ll let it play itself out.” Expect he’ll be a Seahawk in 2018? “I’m hoping so. He’s under contract.” More on @nflnetwork

The Thomas saga has been ongoing throughout the offseason. Thomas is under contract for the upcoming season, but there have been trade rumors for months and questions about whether or not he would hold out.
Thomas made it official on Sunday, posting a note on Twitter about his intentions to hold out.

The 29-year-old is set to earn $8.5 million next season but is seeking more.
