Rams OL says players feel ‘tremendous’ after Week 17 rest

The week of rest for many of the Los Angeles Rams’ top players apparently did wonders for their bodies.

Rams offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth said on Tuesday that the players feel “tremendous” after essentially getting Week 17 off.

Andrew Whitworth said Rams players feel "tremendous" after basically sitting Sunday out, but: "I didn’t get any younger during the week off. I’m still 36; still really old to be doing this."

— Alden Gonzalez (@Alden_Gonzalez) January 3, 2018

Whitworth was among the Rams’ inactive players for Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. Stars like Todd Gurley, Aaron Donald, Alec Ogletree and Marc Baron were among the other players who were inactive. And even though he was active, Jared Goff did not see any playing time behind Sean Mannion.

If the Rams are unable to beat the Atlanta Falcons in their playoff game on Saturday, nobody will be able to say that it’s because the players weren’t fresh.
