A former Rams player has been arrested this week on an unflattering charge.
Retired ex-NFL wide receiver Stedman Bailey was arrested along with a female companion Karina Manderson after police say that the two were having public sex at Round1, an arcade inside the Pembroke Lakes Mall in Pembroke Pines, Fla. David Dwork of WPLG in Florida reports that the incident occurred just after midnight on July 27 and that officers responded to the scene after receiving a report that two individuals were having sex at the bar of the establishment.
Upon reviewing surveillance footage of the incident, officers found that Manderson had been “leaned over at the waist” with Bailey behind her. The two suspects later admitted to drinking multiple shots at the bar, that they both had their pants down, and that Bailey had been exposing himself. But both denied any penetration had taken place.
Bailey, 35, and Manderson, also 35, were arrested shortly thereafter and charged with indecent exposure. You can read WPLG’s full report on the situation here.
A former third-round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft (No. 93 overall), Bailey played for the Rams from 2013-15 (back when they were still known as the St. Louis Rams). Over his three seasons in the league, Bailey caught 59 total passes for 843 yards and two touchdowns, also adding 46 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown.
But Bailey’s career ended prematurely at 25 years old after he was shot multiple times in the head while sitting in a car in Nov. 2015. While he would remarkably go on to make a full recovery from his injuries, Bailey is now back in the news again this week for less-than-favorable reasons.
