Stedman Bailey in hospital after being shot in head
St. Louis Rams wide receiver Stedman Bailey is in a Florida hospital being treated after being shot in the head on Tuesday night.
Bailey is away from the Rams after being suspended four games earlier this month for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. NFL Media’s Mike Silver reports that Bailey was involved in a shooting incident and was shot in the head, though luckily the injuries are not considered life-threatening.

NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport shared more details and says Bailey is in stable condition:

Bailey was a third-round pick by the Rams in 2013. He has 59 catches for 843 yards and two receiving touchdowns in his career.
The team issued the following statement:
“We are aware Stedman Bailey was involved in an incident this evening. We have spoken with Stedman and he is in the hospital in critical, but stable, condition. We are gathering facts about the situation and will provide updates as we learn more.”
