Randy Gregory checking into treatment after another drug violation
Dallas Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory has reportedly committed a violation of the NFL’s substance abuse policy once again, which is likely to result in him missing more than just the four games he is suspended for to start the 2016 season.
ESPN reported on Tuesday that Gregory is not expected to report to training camp this week after he entered an undisclosed treatment facility. It is unclear if he failed another drug test or missed one, but Gregory is now said to be facing a longer suspension. He will likely miss the first 10 games of the season at minimum for what is at least his fourth violation.
According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, the Cowboys are concerned that Gregory may not play again.
There is real worry on #Cowboys DE Randy Gregory, who has shut out some people close to him. The hope is treatment helps this time around.

Gregory tested positive for marijuana at the NFL Scouting Combine last year and ended up slipping into the second round, where Dallas drafted him. The former Nebraska star worked hard to convince NFL teams that he would not screw up again, and the Cowboys bought it. Gregory then got busted again, which triggered the initial suspension.
Jerry Jones had some pretty straightforward things to say about the situation after his team got burned taking a chance on Gregory.
Gregory played in 12 games during his rookie season last year and did not record a sack.
