Ravens have not yet formulated plan for Joe Flacco return
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco’s status remains up in the air as preseason games loom.
Ravens offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg admitted Friday that the team has yet to come up with a plan for the quarterback’s return as he remains sidelined with a back problem.
“The important thing is there will come a time where we have a plan for him, and we’re not quite there yet, and it may come pretty quick,” Mornhinweg said, via Edward Lee of the Baltimore Sun. “So we’ll see. Maybe I’m hoping and wishing, but I hope that comes pretty quickly.”
Mornhinweg said that Flacco has been feeling better.
“By Joe’s account, he’s getting better and feeling better and all those things,” he said. “When he’s back, it’ll be a good thing to get him back. From here until that time, we’re rocking and rolling with the fellow we have.”
There was a pretty wide range of dates for Flacco to return, and he’s still very much within that. Flacco has been doing this a long time, and probably won’t need a lot of time to reintegrate.
