Redskins taking trade calls for No. 2 pick but ‘love’ Chase Young
The Redskins are sitting in a nice spot for the upcoming NFL Draft as they hold the No. 2 overall pick. The team is widely expected to take Chase Young, but they are fielding trade calls about the pick. Still, NBC Sports Washington’s JP Finlay says the team “loves” Young and would need an outrageous return to trade the pick.
Checked in with some sources – Yes, Redskins are listening to calls about the No. 2 pick but the offer would have to be outrageous for a trade to happen. This team loves Chase Young.

Cincinnati is expected to take Joe Burrow with the No. 1 overall pick, and Young is likely to go after that.
Would anyone trade up with Washington? Maybe a team that really wants a quarterback and thinks the Lions are going to take one would do so, but that seems unlikely. Many projections have Detroit going with cornerback Jeff Okudah. The Dolphins at No. 5 may go quarterback, and the Chargers picking after them could do the same.
Washington will probably end up with Young, which should give them a serious defensive line. As a junior at Ohio State last season, Young had 16.5 sacks in 12 games. He also sounds highly interested in going to Washington.
