Report: 49ers not expected to pursue Antonio Brown trade
The San Francisco 49ers are the team that has been most commonly linked to Antonio Brown since the star wide receiver demanded a trade, but it does not sound like they are interested in making a deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
On Thursday, 49ers GM John Lynch told reporters at the NFL Scouting Combine that he has had no conversations with the Steelers about Brown. According to Steve Wyche of NFL Network, the Niners are not expected to be among the teams pursuing Brown.
SF @49ers GM John Lynch said they have had no conversations with @steelers about WR Antonio Brown. I have been told by some sources who would know that as of now the Niners won’t be in play for Brown.

Jerry Rice added fuel to the Brown-to-San Francisco rumors when he said last month that Brown told him he wants to play for the 49ers. The speculation grew even more when Brown was spotted hanging out with a Niners player at the Super Bowl.
Based on what Steelers GM Kevin Colbert said Wednesday, San Francisco might be a spot that Pittsburgh would be willing to send Brown. In order for that to happen, of course, the interest must be mutual.
