Report: Gary Kubiak to interview for Jaguars’ offensive coordinator job
Gary Kubiak may not be rejoining the Denver Broncos’ coaching staff in 2019, but he remains interested in potentially landing an offensive coordinator job.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that Kubiak is expected to interview with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Tuesday for their vacant offensive coordinator job.
Sources: #Broncos Senior personnel advisor Gary Kubiak, who still has eyes on being an offensive coordinator, is scheduled to interview for the vacant #Jaguars OC job tomorrow. GM John Elway has been wiling to let Kubiak out of his contract for a coaching job.

The Broncos were initially blocking Kubiak from interviewing for such positions, but that was probably when they believed he was in line to become their offensive coordinator. For whatever reason, Kubiak and the team could not agree on offensive philosophies and staffing after Vic Fangio was hired as head coach, so Kubiak is now being allowed to pursue other opportunities.
Kubiak, who stepped down as the head coach of the Broncos in 2016 for health reasons, currently works for the team as a personnel advisor.
