Le’Veon Bell seems determined to stay away from the Pittsburgh Steelers as long as he possibly can before the regular season begins, and he still has not reported to the team with an important deadline quickly approaching.
The Steelers were scheduled to hold a mandatory team meeting on Wednesday, and multiple reports indicated there was still no sign of Bell at the facility.
#Steelers have a team meeting at 9am. One of Le’Veon Bell’s teammates just messaged me: no sign of him yet.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, players must report by 4 p.m. on Saturday to be eligible to play in Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.
Players have until 4 pm Saturday to show up to be able to play on Sunday. For what it’s worth. https://t.co/XfxHe8X5bA

It seems unlikely that Bell will forfeit a game check by missing regular season games, but you have to wonder how much he can be a part of the game plan when he has not spent a minute with the team in weeks. We have already seen some hints that Mike Tomlin is growing frustrated with the Bell situation, so it will be interesting to see if there are any repercussions when Bell finally shows up.
