Report: Sam Bradford expected to start on ‘Monday Night Football’

Sam Bradford

Sam Bradford is expected to start at quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings on “Monday Night Football,” according to a report.

ESPN says Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer told them in a production meeting Sunday that he expects Bradford to start the game against the Chicago Bears.

Bradford has not played since injuring his knee in Week 1 and would be returning following a 3-game absence. He reportedly does not have any structural damage in his knee.

All signs were pointing towards Bradford playing in the game. He is officially listed as questionable for the contest.

If Bradford is to play, that would give fans a look at two fresh QBs. Bradford hasn’t played since Week 1, while Chicago will be starting rookie No. 2 overall pick Mitch Trubisky.
