Reuben Foster domestic violence victim is same woman who recanted previous claims
Reuben Foster was arrested for domestic violence on Saturday night for the second time in roughly nine months, and the victim in the latest case is said to be the same woman who accused the former San Francisco 49ers linebacker of assaulting her back in February.
Foster was charged with felony domestic violence in the previous incident, but the charge was later dropped after the woman recanted her claims. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the 28-year-old is the same victim from Saturday’s incident.
More on Reuben Foster: The 28-year-old girlfriend described in the police report is the same one who charged Foster previously, then recanted. For SF, regardless of whether the charges are corroborated, this is an example of Foster not following the rules & guidelines set for him

Foster was arrested at the 49ers’ team hotel in Tampa Bay, and police said the victim was a woman he has been in an off-and-on relationship with for three years and previously lived with. The woman said she was in an argument with Foster when he “slapped her phone out of her hand, pushed her in the chest area and slapped her with an open hand on the right side of her face.”
In the first incident, the victim suffered a ruptured ear drum and swollen lip but later said her injuries stemmed from a fight with another woman and that she lied about Foster assaulting her. Prosecutors still tried to make a case against Foster using 911 calls, medical records and witness testimony, but the felony domestic violence charge against him was eventually dropped.
The 49ers announced on Sunday morning that they have released Foster.
