Reuben Foster’s ex falsely accused another man of domestic violence in 2011
Reuben Foster’s ex-girlfriend testified in court on Thursday that she falsely accused the San Fransisco linebacker of domestic violence, and she also admitted this is not the first time she has done it.
As part of her shocking testimony, Elissa Ennis told the court she claimed Foster hit her numerous times only because she wanted money and to ruin his career. When she was cross-examined by Foster’s attorney, Ennis said she made a similar false accusation seven years ago and spent time in jail because of it.

Reuben Foster attorney Joshua Bentley to Elissa Ennis:
“You knee in this case when Reuben Foster broke up with you that you were going to go to your playbook and ruin his career. Isn’t that true?”
Ennis: “Yes sir”

Ennis described her allegations as merely a “money scheme” and said she stole money and jewelry from a safe deposit box belonging to Foster after he was arrested.
Ennis initially claimed back in February that Foster struck her 10 times and dragged her down a flight of stairs before throwing her out of his home. She also said he broke her cell phone to stop her from calling the police, which Foster has admitted to doing. The police report from the incident also indicated that Ennis accused Foster of abusing her dog.
Prosecutors are still deciding whether to pursue charges against Foster, though it seems like their case will be very weak after hearing Ennis’ testimony. Police saw injuries on Ennis when they arrested Foster, but she later said she sustained them in a fight with another woman.
