Richard Sherman sounds off about being drug tested twice before Super Bowl
Richard Sherman feels he is being targeted by the NFL’s drug testing program heading into Super Bowl LIV.
Sherman took to Twitter early Thursday morning to complain about being drug tested two weeks in a row leading up to the big game. He sarcastically said the players who have to get blood drawn before the Super Bowl must belong to an “exclusive fraternity.”
So a Random PED and Blood test two weeks in a row?! I gotta go play the lottery I must be the most lucky man in the world.

I wonder how many other player have to get blood taken before the Super Bowl. Probably a very exclusive fraternity

The NFL claims its drug testing program is completely random, and the NFL Players Association has defended the league over it in the past. However, Sherman is far from the first player to be bothered by the timing of a test, and this isn’t the first time he has openly criticized the NFL.
Sherman was suspended for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drug policy back in 2012, but he won his appeal with a very interesting defense. He had a great season in 2019 and is one of the more outspoken players in the NFL, so he probably feels the league is trying to trip him up before Sunday.
