Richie Incognito confirms he is retiring: ‘The stress is killing me’
Richie Incognito fueled speculation on Tuesday morning that he is considering retirement, and it would appear he has officially made up his mind.
Not long after he told The MMQB’s Peter King he may hang up the cleats and sent a cryptic tweet to the NFL Players Association, Incognito spoke about his health issues while confirming to Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News that he is, indeed, retiring.
@68INCOGNITO just told me the following: "I'm, done. That's it. It's been a long career. Went to the doctor. My liver and kidneys are shutting down. The stress is killing me. It's just about doing what's right. I just want to be in the Hall of Fame." Full story to come.

About an hour before that, Incognito left open the possibility that he could return in 2018 for the right price. He took a pay cut with the Bills last month in which he cut his base salary nearly in half and received a new $1 million signing bonus. Incognito told Carucci that having to take a pay cut angered him, but it has nothing to do with his decision to retire.
.@68INCOGNITO on his pay cut: "It pisses me the f off. The contract and all that pissed me the f off and all that, but (retiring) has nothing to do with that." On whether there was a chance he'd change his mind: "Absolutely not." More to come.

Incognito has had a somewhat strange offseason, as he also appeared to fire his agents over Twitter last week.
