The New England Patriots looked surprisingly incompetent on offense in their loss to the Tennessee Titans before their bye week, and they are hoping the return of Rob Gronkowski will solve some of those issues this weekend.
Gronk has missed three of New England’s past four games with back and ankle injuries, but the star tight end said on Friday that he is “good to go” for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets.

Gronkowski has had multiple back surgeries dating back to his college days, so any back injury for him is cause for concern. However, the belief has been that the Patriots wanted to hold him out in an attempt to get him back to 100 percent health so he can return to his dominant form.
There are plenty of people who think Gronkowski simply doesn’t have enough left in the tank to terrorize defenses, and one New York newspaper basically wrote his obituary this week. Assuming he’s healthy enough, Gronk should be plenty motivated on Sunday.
