Rolando McClain does not show up for Cowboys’ training camp
The Dallas Cowboys have placed Rolando McClain and Randy Gregory on their reserve/did not report list after the two did not travel with the team to Oxnard, Calif. for training camp. The difference is they only know what’s going on with one of those players.
McClain did not join the Cowboys for their team flight to Oxnard on Thursday. That was a concern because it was unexpected. But McClain also did not report on Friday, a day ahead of practice.
Given that McClain is already facing a 10-game suspension due to a violation of the league’s drug policy, the possibility of the team releasing him has to be considered.
Why not just release Rolando McClain? Jerry Jones: "A lot of nuances that we're not going to get into."

The difference between McClain and Gregory is that Gregory checked himself into a treatment facility, whereas the team does not know what’s going on with McClain.
This really shouldn’t be a shock for the Cowboys. You do business with Rolando McClain, you have to be prepared for all of his erratic behavior.
