Ron Rivera speaks to Shaq Thompson about ‘f— the Seahawks’ video
Carolina Panthers linebacker Shaq Thompson took aim at the Seattle Seahawks and their fans on social media earlier this week, and Ron Rivera is not pleased with the way the rookie went about it.
Thompson, who was apparently tired of hearing from Seahawks fans, posted a video on Snapchat cursing at them.
“Hey Seahawks fans, I got a message,” Thompson said. “F— y’all. F— the Seahawks. Keep pounding, b—-es.”
You can view the video below, but beware that it obviously contains NSFW language. And no, that is not Mike Tolbert’s actual Twitter account.

Snapchat videos are designed to erase either instantly or within 24 hours, but we all know that everything on social media can be preserved somehow. Thompson knows that now, and Rivera says he has spoken to the 21-year-old about it.
“I sat down with Shaq,” Rivera said Wednesday, per Jonathan Jones of The Charlotte Observer. “I discussed it. It’s over. So we decided the best thing for all of us is to move forward and get ready for Arizona.”
If athletes think that videos won’t go viral if they post them on lesser-known social media platforms like Snapchat and Yeti, they’re wrong. Johnny Manziel found that out quickly when the internet got ahold of his Christmas Eve partying video. Thompson should be more careful, especially in the middle of a playoff run.
