Russell Wilson is reacting to his former team getting the job done without him.
The Seattle Seahawks were victorious over the New England Patriots in Sunday’s Super Bowl LX. They rode an elite performance by their defense as well as a 135-yard rushing game by running back Kenneth Walker III (the eventual Super Bowl MVP) to a convincing 29-13 win at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
After the final whistle sounded, former Seahawks quarterback Wilson reacted to the team’s triumph on his X page. He posted a notable two-word message.
“Go Hawks!” Wilson wrote, along with a pair of trophy emojis.
Go Hawks!

Wilson, 37, spent the first 10 seasons of his NFL career with the Seahawks from 2012-21. That included leading Seattle to their first-ever Super Bowl victory during the 2013 campaign.
Now the Seahawks have managed to win the second Super Bowl of their franchise’s history, only some four seasons after parting ways with Wilson. While he is still technically a member of the New York Giants these days, the 10-time Pro Bowler Wilson clearly remains a Seahawk at heart and also sent a notable message to current Seattle quarterback Sam Darnold after the team’s NFC title game win this year.
