Russell Wilson might be one-and-done with the Pittsburgh Steelers, which would leave him looking for a new team. If he ends up on the free agent market, there is an NFC team that could have interest in him.
ESPN NFL analyst Jeremy Fowler appeared on “SportsCenter” Sunday morning and talked about Wilson’s future. He said Wilson could return to the Steelers for the 2025 season, but he mentioned two other teams in case Wilson is not brought back by Pittsburgh.
“Wilson himself should have options too. Talking to some ex-Seattle aides, they said that Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson have pieced it up, so maybe Las Vegas could shake out for him. I’m also told the Giants are considered a sleeper option for Russell Wilson,” Fowler reported.

The Raiders used a combination of Gardner Minshew and Aidan O’Connell last season. They’re looking for an upgrade at quarterback, but they could pursue that via the draft, where they have the No. 6 overall pick. Wilson could also make sense as a short-term solution given his history with new Raiders coach Carroll. Wilson was the Seahawks’ quarterback from 2012-2021, and Carroll was the team’s head coach during that entire time. They made eight playoff appearances together and reached consecutive Super Bowls, winning one.
The New York Giants are coming off a brutal 3-14 season. They had Daniel Jones, Drew Lock and Tommy DeVito all get starts at quarterback. They seem to no longer believe that Jones is the answer for them, which would explain if they have some interest in Wilson. But much like the Raiders, the Giants could address the quarterback position in the draft. They have the No. 3 overall pick and have been linked to one notable quarterback.
Wilson, 36, passed for 2,482 yards, 16 touchdowns and 5 interceptions in 11 games with the Steelers last season. He also rushed for 155 yards and 2 TDs. The Steelers went 6-5 in his starts.
