Report: 1 NFC team made ‘strong offer’ for Russell Wilson
The Seattle Seahawks continue to maintain they are not interested in trading quarterback Russell Wilson, and they seem to be backing that up with their actions.
The Seahawks received a “strong offer” for Wilson from the Washington Commanders, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. While it is unclear what the offer consisted of, the Seahawks were not interested.
How serious are the #Commanders in their search for a QB? Sources say they made a strong offer to the #Seahawks on Russell Wilson. It didn’t go anywhere. But a sign Washington is ready to deal. And given what they have on their roster, they may be a QB away.

The Commanders have made no secret of the fact that they are looking everywhere for a quarterback this offseason, with reports suggesting that they are going to great lengths to try to land one. This report certainly reinforces that, and one has to wonder if they have made similar bids with some other teams.
As for Wilson, he has consistently downplayed trade chatter, including some that actually linked him to Washington. For now, it does appear that he and the Seahawks are on the same page in that regard.
