Bears GM Ryan Pace: Kevin White is 100 percent healthy

Here’s at least one reason for Chicago Bears fans to smile despite enduring a forgettable 6-10 campaign in 2015.

Speaking with reporters on Tuesday, Bears general manager Ryan Pace declared wide receiver Kevin White, the team’s first-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft to be fully healthy, per Adam Jahns of the Chicago Sun-Times.

White was selected No. 7 overall by the Bears last April, but missed his entire rookie season after suffering a stress fracture in his left shin over the summer that required surgery.

The 23-year-old receiver recorded 109 receptions for 1447 yards and 10 touchdowns in his senior year at West Virginia. It’s easy to forget that White vs. Amari Cooper was a legitimate debate on Draft Day and rightfully so, given White’s ball skills and his imposing 6-foot-3, 216 pound frame.

With White now set to take his rightful place alongside Alshon Jeffrey (whom the Bears recently used their franchise tag on and reportedly want to lock up long-term), hopefully that talented receiving duo ensures that the Bears’ aerial attack is a force to be reckoned with for many years to come.
