Report: Saints sign Mike Gillislee to one-year deal
The New Orleans Saints have added even more depth to their backfield.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Saints have agreed to a one-year deal with running back Mike Gillislee, who was cut by the New England Patriots on Saturday.
The #Saints are signing former #Patriots RB Mike Gillislee on a 1-year deal, source said. More firepower for their backfield.

The Saints had looked at a few veteran backs earlier in the summer, but their need grew when Mark Ingram was hit with a four-game suspension. Gillislee will likely serve as Alvin Kamara’s backup option and will have the opportunity to get some looks in the backfield on a limited basis, particularly before Ingram is eligible to return.
