Saints run wild formation with three quarterbacks on field at same time

The New Orleans Saints ran a wild formation on a second-and-goal play against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday night.
The Saints used a formation that put three quarterbacks on the field at the same time. Taysom Hill was lined up in the shotgun, while Drew Brees and Teddy Bridgewater were split wide to each side of the field.

Hill ended up taking the snap, faking a handoff, and rushing for no gain. The Saints scored on the next play — a shovel pass from Drew Brees to Alvin Kamara.
Hill has been a valuable member of the Saints this season. Often used as a rusher on direct snaps to convert short-yardage plays, he’s had tons of success and entered the game with 125 rushing yards and a 6.9 yards per carry average. The former BYU quarterback also showed he can throw the ball as he tossed a 44-yard completion earlier in the drive.
