Salvation Army sees influx of $21 donations after Ezekiel Elliott celebration
Ezekiel Elliott may have been flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct after scoring his first touchdown of the night on Sunday, but the celebration turned out to be for a very good cause.
A Salvation Army spokesman told TMZ that the organization saw a spike in donations in the hours after Elliott jumped into a Salvation Army kettle.
“From 8:10pm to 10:30am this morning there was a 61% increase in online giving from the same time frame last Sunday night,” Lt. Colonel Ron Busroe said.
Many people chose to make $21 donations, which is a clear indication that Elliott inspired them since the rookie running back wears No. 21.

Fortunately, the NFL announced on Monday that Elliott will not be fined. While using a prop is not allowed, the 15-yard penalty was apparently punishment enough. In the event that he had been fined, Elliott planned to cut a check to the Salvation Army in the same amount that the league docked him.
“We’re very thankful that he’s going to donate,” Busroe said of Elliott.
Good for you, Zeke.
