Troubling new information is surfacing this week about the scene of Brandon Clarke’s death.
The former Memphis Grizzlies big man Clarke had a slew of drug paraphernalia inside of the home where he was found dead, TMZ Sports reported Monday. Citing the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s report, TMZ reveals that investigators found cannabis products, vape devices, syringes, injectable peptides, and a box of Narcan inside of Clarke’s bedroom and attached bathroom.
TMZ further adds that investigators also found a plate containing an unknown white powdery substance on the kitchen island at Clarke’s home. You can read their full report on the situation here.
Clarke was found dead inside the home, located in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, Calif., on May 11. Paramedics responded to a 911 call for a medical emergency and found Clarke, who was only 29 years old, unresponsive (read the full details here).
Earlier this month, an official cause of death was revealed for Clarke. His death was said to be accidental, and investigators found no signs of foul play at the scene.
A former first-round pick in the 2019 NBA Draft (No. 21 overall), Clarke spent his entire pro career with the Grizzlies. He averaged 10.2 points and 5.5 rebounds per game over 309 total appearances but got hampered by injuries in recent years and was limited to just two games played during his final NBA season in 2025-26.
Just weeks before his death, Clarke was also arrested in Arkansas on drug and fleeing charges. Those legal proceedings were still unresolved at the time of Clarke’s death.
