Sam Darnold expects to play Sunday
The New York Jets will likely have their starting quarterback in action again on Sunday.
Sam Darnold, who hasn’t played since Week 9, confirmed Wednesday that he intends to play Sunday against the Buffalo Bills barring an unexpected setback.
Sam Darnold on @TMKSESPN: "The plan for me, personally, is to play (Sunday) … Barring something catastrophic, I feel like I'm ready to go." #Jets

Darnold has had a troublesome foot for the better part of the last month. That, combined with the fact that the Jets have had no reason to rush him, means he’s been cautious in his return and limited in practice. All signs point to him suiting up against Buffalo on Sunday to play out the remainder of the Jets’ season.
