Saquon Barkley out of walking boot, progressing in return from ankle sprain
Saquon Barkley appears to be making rapid progress in his recovery from a high ankle sprain.
Barkley said after the New York Giants’ 24-3 win over the Washington Redskins on Sunday that he is already out of his walking boot.
Spoke with Saquon Barkley after the game. He said of his injured ankle: "Out of the boot. Good start." Plans to take it day by day. In the meantime, loved what he saw from Wayne Gallman (118 total yards, 2 TDs).

This type of progress is backed by Barkley telling people he will return sooner than expected.
Barkley suffered the ankle injury in the team’s Week 3 comeback win over Tampa Bay. High ankle sprains typically include a 4-6 week recovery timetable, but Barkley seems intent in returning sooner.
Wayne Gallman rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries against Washington and caught six passes for 55 yards and a touchdown in Barkley’s place.
