The New York Jets have a game in London this week for the first time since 2021, which means Sauce Gardner has never been across the pond with his team. And the star cornerback apparently does not know a whole lot about Great Britain, either.
With the Jets preparing to face the Minnesota Vikings at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Gardner was asked on Friday for his thoughts on England. The star cornerback said he was scared when he first got on the team bus. Why? Because he thought the driver was driving on the wrong side of the road.
Sauce Gardner said he didn’t know Brits drive on the other side of the road so when he got on the bus he thought they were about to get in an accident.

That’s right, Gardner claims he did not know that people drive on the left side of the road in England.
Gardner is known for having a great sense of humor, so perhaps he was just getting a rise out of the media. If not, we can only imagine what he will think when he orders “chips” for the first time during the Jets’ trip.
