Report: Seahawks could embrace college-style offense
There are big changes in store for the Seattle Seahawks this offseason, and one major one could involve their offensive scheme.
Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk reported Saturday that there is some talk in league circles that the Seahawks could embrace a college-style offense to emphasize quarterback Russell Wilson’s strengths.
That would likely involve putting an emphasis on Wilson’s mobility and ability to make plays with his legs, as opposed to relying on such things as a last resort when plays break down.
That could also be an explanation for why the Seahawks are reportedly eyeing Philadelphia quarterbacks coach John DeFilippo as a potential offensive coordinator, as the Eagles do have some college-style wrinkles to their offense.
The next #Seahawks OC could be on display today: #Eagles QB coach John DeFilippo is one of their top targets, sources say. They hope to talk to him (along with Brian Schottenheimer) if Philly loses.

Big changes appear to be in store for the Seahawks staff, and not just on the offensive side. We could see a very different team in 2018.
