Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Sen’Derrick Marks closed out Thursday night’s win over the Tennessee Titans with a sack. But this wasn’t just any sack. This particular sack was worth $600,000.
Marks has an escalator in his contract that pays him $600,000 if he surpasses eight sacks. His sack of Charlie Whitehurst gave Marks 8.5 on the season.

In a season that has not had many bright moments, that had to have felt great for Marks. The former Auburn star has never had more than four sacks in a season during his six-year career. Unlike the players who have flashed the money sign just to mock their opponent, Marks had a perfectly legitimate reason for the celebration.
