Thomas was injured during the Broncos’ preseason game against the Washington Redskins.
Thomas was signed by Denver a week and a half ago. The 27-year-old defensive back was previously cut by the Colts after becoming the first player penalized under the new helmet rule. He is trying to crack Denver’s roster as a special teams player.
