The most robust sports betting day of the year is almost upon us, and it is not too late to strategize based on which way the tide is leaning.

Caesars Sportsbook revealed this week the single most popular prop bet (by dollars) that it has taken thus far heading into Super Bowl LVI on Sunday — a bet on the coin toss to land on “tails” at +100.

Interestingly enough, Caesars also said that a bet on the coin toss to do the opposite and land on “heads” (also +100) is the second most popular prop bet. After that, bettors have put the most money on the prop bets of no overtime for the game (-1500) and for Cincinnati Bengals kicker Evan McPherson to go over 1.5 made field goals (-140).

The coin toss indeed seems like one of the best bets out there as it is a true 50-50 chance either way, odds that are probably better than you can get anywhere else. Meanwhile, those betting on the coin toss appear to be mostly banking on the old conventional wisdom of “tails never fails.”

For bettors who want to take on a bit more risk though, there are plenty of more lucrative bets for this year’s Super Bowl too. Just ask this celebrity who is making some huge wagers on the game.
