Tez Johnson had the craziest reaction to Fred Warner’s dislocated ankle

The injury news on Fred Warner is brutal.

Warner suffered an injury to his right leg during the first quarter of Sunday’s Week 6 game between his San Francisco 49ers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla. Warner was a bystander as his teammate, Ji’Ayir Brown, rolled into his body from behind. Warner’s right ankle turned the wrong direction, and he ended up with both a dislocated and fractured right ankle.

Tez Johnson, who had a 45-yard touchdown catch in the game, was near the action when the injury to Warner occurred. He took one peak at Warner and was horrified as he signaled to the sideline to come help him.

You don’t need to look any further than that to know that the injury was bad.

Warner has been with the 49ers since 2018 and is the focal point of the team’s defense. He has been a first-team All-Pro selection for three straight years, so his absence will hurt the team.

Johnson had a better memory later in the game when he caught his 45-yard touchdown and celebrated with some gymnastics.
